Our all-day supervision from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. includes regular classes, shared meals, individually tailored mentoring and coaching, homework assistance, sports activities, various clubs, supervised playing in the school grounds, relaxation in special rest areas, reading and browsing in the media centre, as well as guided excursions to the surrounding area and cultural attractions in Berlin.
Early-morning supervision is from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. This service is available for children whose parents have to go to work early. Children can have breakfast, doze, play, and start the day peacefully. If requested by parents, children or class teachers, the early morning hours can also be used for individual mentoring or special preparation for classes.
The afternoon programme continues on directly from class. Children, supervised by their assistant teacher, remain with their respective classes until 4 p.m. This time of the day is used for active recreation including plenty of exercise and activities. Children are encouraged to play, to do arts and crafts, draw, sing, dance, make music, and have fun.
Between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. students can choose from a wide variety of clubs, activities and courses in the fields of Sports, Art, Music, Theater, Craftwork, Media/Computer, Maths, Sciences, Technics and Languages. They are encouraged to participate in a certain activity for at least one semester.

After regular school hours, aside from the courses and clubs, we also offer pedagogical assistance and an ideal environment for learning and consolidating the work done in class, as well as for doing homework and attaining the monthly learning targets. This reduces the amount of homework that has to be done after school and leaves more time for family and leisure activities. Nevertheless, we advise parents to practise reading with their children on a regular basis and to support them in doing their homework.
Our afternoon programme includes mentoring and subject-based learning groups, which are aimed both at developing students’ strengths and assisting them with possible weaknesses. It is conducted in close cooperation with class teachers, tutors, students and parents.
According to the individual talents of students, we organise and encourage their participation in competitions such as maths Olympics, debating clubs, the national youth science competition ‘Jugend forscht’, sporting events, art, music or theatre contests. We will also collaborate with partner schools in promoting Berlin-wide working groups for gifted students.
Sometimes, the afternoons may be taken up by class trips or excursions to the countryside or cultural events.
Lunch and afternoon snacks will be prepared according to nutritional physiology principles. Sugar-free drinks will be available throughout the day.
During the holidays we offer a diverse programme of educational and leisure activities to primary school students between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
